About Yajurveda

Among the four Vedic Saṁhitās, the Yajurveda holds the second place. In terms of the number of mantras, it ranks third. Divided into forty chapters, the Yajurveda contains a total of 1,975 mantras.

The Yajurveda is primarily regarded as the Veda that expounds ritual practices (karmakāṇḍa). However, it cannot be said that it deals only with rituals and nothing else. The Yajurveda is rich in philosophical elements, where profound and meaningful discussions are found on subtle and complex subjects such as God, the soul, nature, the creation of the universe, life, and death.

Along with this, it also addresses questions such as: What is the proper conduct for a human being? What is meant by ethical or conduct-based dharma? And how can a virtuous person achieve their goal through righteous behavior? These topics are also found in this Saṁhitā. Additionally, it includes analyses of many worldly and practical matters, as well as answers to questions faced by human society.
